We stayed in a homestay called Penginapan.  We  called it the Penguin for a laugh.  Basic rooms but very good people and only about 10 dollars a night.  If you want to surf very early morning to avoid the crowd you will need a thin wetsuit.  I didn’t have one and I was very cold on some days.

My BF is a good surfer and one of the things he did not like about Batu Karas was that it is kind of in the middle of no where and so if you want to go try out other breaks it is a lot travel.
